My first sewing project!

There are several people to thank for this.
Without them, my machine would be broken beyond repair, as would my fingers.
Reenie, for not only giving me the idea to make burp cloths, but also the specific tutorial that I used.
– Ba, for giving me the sewing machine that I now possess.  I love it and can’t wait to learn how to use it more!
– Margie, for teaching me everything I know about sewing: How do I turn on my machine? (no, really, that’s how clueless I was)  What is a bobbin?  (Mom was mortified I had no idea what one was and just shooed me out the door to go take my sewing lesson.)  How do I load the bobbin?  (I still don’t really know how to do this – I figured it out on accident.)  How do I turn corners?  And many, many other questions.  Let’s just say that Margie has the patience of a saint 😉
– All the members in my sewing “class” who had to put up with my stupid questions :)  You girls are the best.

And, without further ado, here is the finished product.  I used cotton fabric instead of flannel and was very pleased with the results.  I got the fabric at JoAnn’s and the burp cloths at CottonBabies.
It is kind of a letdown to realize that they will, from here on out, be covered in puke.
Oh well.  May as well clean up puke in style!
